The Governance Institute for Sustainable Development (GISD) is embarking on a project of assessing the effect of the national reforms undertaken under the stewardship of the National Reforms in the last 20 months (October 2020 - June 2022). The project will assess the effect of the reforms on ten (10) areas. The research exercise seeks to establish which institutions are effective, financially and operationally autonomous institutions, which have been created as a result of the reforms, which executive their mandates. The research exercise further seeks to find out if the reforms have created an effective constitutional order, which has become a fertile ground for enabling legislations in various areas of reform. The project is intent to contribute to the promotion of effective good governance architecture of Lesotho, which is a precursor for a functional democracy.
